Mid and West AM Simon Thomas celebrated the work of occupational therapists at an event at the Senedd building in Cardiff Bay.
The launch of College of Occupational Therapists report on ‘Reducing the Pressure on Hospitals in Wales: The Value of Occupational Therapy’.
The report is part of a campaign showing how occupational therapists both improve lives for the people we work with and save public money.
Plaid Cymru Assembly Member Simon Thomas said:
“It was fascinating to hear about the work of occupational therapy services in primary care and in A&E departments across Hywel Dda University Health Board.
"The services are really effective at helping older people stay at home and avoid inappropriate hospital admission.”
